An example of how blogging gives you credibility.

By Todd Carpenter | August 17, 2007

I thought I’d share an email I received last night concerning lenderama.com, my Mortgage Industry Blog.

“A nationally known real estate investor and financial expert, the bestselling author Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad & Why We Want You to Be Rich with Donald Trump) is available to discuss foreclosures and other related real estate trends and news. Please contact…”

This was a blast from a PR group. I get them all the time, but I’ve actually heard of Robert Kiyosaki so I thought it was kind of neat. Before I started my blog, I was a competent mortgage professional, just like thousands of others. After, I’ve been interviewed for books, quoted in the media, and lobbied by PR groups who want to get their message out.

If you are an RE professional who has yet to start a blog, this is the type of credibility you are missing out on. I made myself an expert on the mortgage industry, you can do the same for your market.
